Kraege Polan
In his early twenties, Kraege became Administrative Assistant to House Speaker Price Daniel, Jr. He directed communications and legislation between the 150-member Texas House of Representatives and the Speaker’s office.
With solid grounding in House politics, Kraege became a lobbyist and has mastered the intricacies of Capitol legislative and regulatory lobbying. Since beginning his career as a lobbyist, Kraege’s style has won plaudits from legislative members and political writers.
The Dallas Morning News, in a survey of Texas Senate and House Committee Chairpersons, named Kraege Polan “one of the ten best lobbyists” in the state. Noted political writer Harvey Kronberg, author of the Quorum Report, calls him, “first rate…straightforward, low-key and effective.
Robert Culley
Robert attended the University of Texas on a baseball scholarship. In 1984, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in political science.
As Chief of Staff, serving a Texas Representative whom later was elected Senator, Robert was one of the most highly respected Capitol staffers. His long-time service at the Capitol has left him with strong relationships among members and staff alike. He oversaw all administrative and legislative activities for the legislator before leaving to become Director of Governmental Affairs for the Texas Motor Transportation Association.
In this role, he oversaw the public relations, grassroots and lobbying efforts for the TMTA’s 1200 members. Robert brings a wealth of Capitol and trade association experience to his role as a partner at Polan Culley Advocacy Group.
Bill Haley
Following his graduation from Texas Christian University, Bill Haley taught in the public schools, owned and operated a family business, and served in the Texas Legislature. While in the Texas House, he chaired the Committee on Public Education and also served on Financial Institutions and State Affairs.
During his tenure in the Texas Senate, he chaired the Committee on Administration and served on the Economic Development and Senate Finance Committees. Haley has been honored by numerous education, civic, and business groups for his contributions in the legislature.
Deborah Goodell Polan of counsel
Deborah is a graduate of the University of Texas Law School. She has represented clients before the U.S. Congress, the Texas Legislature and various state agencies, both as a partner in the Regulated Industries Section of Hinkle, Hensley, Shanor, and Martin, LLP (2000-2004), and as a solo practitioner both before and after her law firm affiliation. Her practice includes representation of corporations and other business entities on legislative and regulatory issues, primarily in the areas of financial services, insurance, and general business. |
